Love The Game Outdoor Adventures

Volunteers and make a difference.

Volunteer with Love the Game

Give a little time, change a season. Help us remove the cost barrier so every child can play.

From packing kits to speaking with clubs, volunteers make Love the Game possible. Whether you can help once a month or once a week, we have roles to suit your time and skills. We work with FA-affiliated clubs and follow safeguarding best practice. Training and guidance are provided, and you’ll see exactly how your time gets children onto the pitch.

Volunteer roles

  • Fundraising Champion – run small events, approach local sponsors, promote monthly giving.

  • Club Liaison – be the contact for 2–3 local clubs, help with applications, track outcomes.

  • Kit & Logistics – source and pack kits, coordinate deliveries/collections.

  • Comms & Social – write short posts, capture stories (with consent), update our channels.

  • Schools Link – share our support with schools, help with group applications.

  • Safeguarding/DBS Support – help us keep records in order and up to date.

Time & commitment

Most roles need 1–3 hours per week, flexible around you. One-off help for events is also welcome.

How it works

  1. Register interest – tell us how you’d like to help.

  2. Quick call – we match your skills and availability to a role.

  3. Onboarding – safeguarding briefing and simple guidelines.

  4. Start helping – we support you with resources and regular check-ins.

What you’ll get

  • Real local impact you can see.

  • References for work/education on request.

  • Community, training, and a volunteer certificate each season.

Safeguarding statement

We work only with FA-affiliated clubs & Little leagues and follow DBS and safeguarding best practice. Volunteers in roles involving children or sensitive data may need a DBS check (we’ll guide you through it).
